Yeah, I've just seen people talking about similar things in the past who were actually serious about it, so this didn't come across as suspicious to me

There are very simple tests that can verify it where it may exist. I only found out it my generated memories were false when I demonstrated I had no objective conscious ability to think in any respect of solving problems or doing any form of work that requires time to finish.

I see. I think many tulpas connect these memories as a part of who they are. So, I do understand not wanting to admit that. Admitting that is admitting a part of yourself is false.
We also sort of felt pressured by someone we associated with to think we stayed active in wonderland. Indigo was made after we stopped associating with them, so he didn't feel that pressure, and he gradually made us realize it was all fake
It was a great damage to discover I had no ability to follow my own dreams and was stuck to play a zero sum game with the overwhelming disadvantage of being partner to a person with decades of experience beyond mine.
